King Edward VI Grammar School, Lichfield
1950

and you want to add information to this page,
please contact Burntwood Family History Group.

We are very grateful to BFHG member Ray Derry for supplying these two photographs from 1950.

Ray Derry, who sent us this photograph, has identified himself and five other former pupils. It easiest to see them on this enlarged section. The red arrow on the left points to Helmar Derry in the 2nd row from the back. Working to the right in that row are Norman Hyde (now deceased), Gerald Timmis, David Allsopp (now deceased) and then the purple arrow points to Ray Derry himself. In the back row, the green arrow points to Ken Smith, who now lives in Chiddingfold, Surrey. Ray is still in contact with Helmar, Gerald and Ken, and with another former pupil, Jeffrey Webb, who left the school before 1950.
