WHO WE ARE
Burntwood Family History Group was founded in 1986 by a small group of people who shared the wish to research their family history. We have grown steadily since then and we now meet regularly at Chase Terrace Academy. Maps showing how to reach the rooms we use are provided on the page Where and When We Meet.
We are a member of the Family History Federation {formerly the Federation of Family History Societies}.
We have members throughout the world and our membership is open to anyone with an interest in local and family history.

If you are researching your ancestors from the towns and villages in our area, you are welcome to contact us for help and advice. We are only too glad to get you started and to provide our local knowledge. We are able to offer a limited amount of voluntary research in some cases.
